The junior gunslinger passed for 30 touchdowns on 2 854 yards and rushed for an additional 20 TDs on 1 473 yards. He became only the second player in NCAA history to have twenty rushing and passing TDs in one season. In December 2010 Newton became the 76th winner of the Heisman Trophy and the third Auburn Tiger to receive the prestigious award.
